camerashy was created to allow Scott Near to turn his passion for photography into a rewarding career. Scott has used SLR cameras and equipment from the tender age of 11 and over the years he has developed an acute skill, embellishing his passion for photography while enhancing his enviable eye for detail and flair.

Based in Glasgow, he works on a myriad locations both in the City and in the beautiful Scottish landscape and because Scott is an absolute perfectionist it ensures that every image he creates maintains the optimum level of photographic quality together with his very personal touch.

Whenever he's not on a shoot with camerashy, Scott can often be found photographing insects and other wildlife. Macro photography (close-up photography) allows Scott to get much much closer to the magical imagery this subject has to offer and capture far more detail than can be seen with the naked eye. Working with macro has helped fine tune his attention to such detail, ensuring that every image Scott creates is an image to be proud of..
